Updating your server

Move to a newer Minecraft version and keep your world.

1. Make a backup

  1. Stop the server.
  2. Go to Worlds and click Create backup.

You can also turn on Auto-backup there so you always have recent copies.

2. Create a server with the new version

  1. In your server list, click New server and pick the same type with the newer version.
  2. Open its Worlds section and Import your backup.
  3. Start it. Minecraft upgrades the world on the first start; Cubi picks the right Java automatically.

3. Mods and plugins

Install versions that support the new Minecraft version from Mods or Plugins. Not every mod updates right away.

Worlds can be upgraded but not downgraded. Keep the backup until you're happy with the new version.
