1. Allocating RAM
Insufficient RAM is the #1 cause of lag:
- Go to Settings > Java & Memory.
- Use the slider to increase Max RAM.
- Recommendations:
- Vanilla: 2-4 GB
- Light mods: 4-6 GB
- Heavy mods: 6-8+ GB
Never allocate more than 75% of your total RAM.
2. Java Version
MLSG automatically selects and downloads the right Java runtime (8, 17, or 21) based on your Minecraft version. No manual setup.
3. Pre-generating Chunks
Install a plugin like "Chunky" (Paper/Spigot) to pre-generate the world border while no one is playing.
