Mods and plugins

Search Modrinth and install from inside the app.

1. Pick the right server type

Mods need Fabric, Forge or NeoForge. Plugins need Paper or Spigot. You choose this when creating the server (“How do you want to play?”).

2. Install

  1. Open your server and go to Mods (or Plugins) in the sidebar.
  2. In Browse, search by name (e.g. “JourneyMap”, “EssentialsX”).
  3. Click Install. The version that matches your server is downloaded automatically, with progress on the card.

Modpacks are installed the same way from the modpacks section.

3. Manage what's installed

The Installed list shows readable names instead of jar files. Remove anything from there, or use Import .jar to add one you already have.

Restart the server after adding or removing mods. With mods, your friends need the same ones installed.
